Yes, but she had a stillborn buckling that was HUGE. It was the size of my 2 month olds. We had to pull it. It was a scary experience and I spend a LOT of time on the phone with a lady who talked me thru it.

She's recuperated now and is doing fine. I think it was a combination of a huge kid and a young doe. Hopefully next years kid(s) will be smaller and she'll deliver ok.

Sorry about the doe's loss. That being said..my web tv only posted pic 27...so I don't know what the other pics were like..but..anytime you have a baby's body part out..you better be grabbing and assisting. He was viable then...they both just needed a little help in getting him out.

I am not sure why people wait .. if the hoof or head are showing...its time. Only going in four inches is not going in aggressively enough in my opinion. Especially after your daughter saw a hoof showing.

Its all a learning experience..and its all done differently by everyone. I think a phone call to Vicki, Ozark or someone on the emergency line would have gained you more. This is just my thoughts. Again..sorry for the loss of the buck.
