I'm so sorry to hear that you were disappointed so far - what a let down for you. Hope you can find good homes for them all. We are not interested in any more goats - as soon as kidding season is over I'll be culling myself as I only need a couple or three milkers. None of my goats are registered - and the new crop should be minis. I will want to keep the girls if we have any.

Is this from the La Mancha buck you acquired when I first met you to buy chickens?

Nubian/La Manchas make wonderful Recorded Grades. My friend has one who is a champion. She had another such cross as well as a champion Saanen/La Mancha make the cut at Nationals. She also has a Togg/La Mancha who got a 92 on Linear Appraisal. I have a Nubian/La Mancha doe who is out of my champion La Mancha. She's one of my best milkers. I can, however, understand your frustration. Last year I had 2 dairy does deliver Boer cross kids after a Boer buckling snuck into their pen.

Yep, the very same buck. He is a WONDERFUL buck with great conformation and milk lines and I am so happy to have some daughters from him. That is, I'm happy to have his full blooded LM daughters! LOL
Their conformation is amazing. In fact, I was looking at Maggie's LM/N doe kid last night and dreaming of all the milk I could get from her.... but I just CANT keep her! She looks amazing, and has that amazing LM personality to boot!

I just wish people could see the value in crossbred kids = I would happily keep these girls. But, I've got to be responsible (I hate it when that happens!) and not keep a bunch of goats that I will have trouble selling the offspring from! My goats have to support themselves or we couldnt afford them. Just being practical rather than sentimental.

Cabrito!!!!

The closest ADGA show is over an hour from here - every spring, right during my heaviest milking/kidding time.

There are other shows, but they are much farther away and I dont have a "relief milker". My kids would love to show dairy goats - all they can do in 4-H is meat goats and you have to have a $2000 Boer goat to even do half way decent... needless to say, we always come in dead last! Dont have that kind of money to spend on a WETHER that is going to end up in the freezer anyway.

Velvet is *beautiful*! WoW.

Maggie's Girl is so cute with her little tiny ears.

The best pic, though, has got to be the one of the Mexican standoff between the dog and the cat .

We would really be interested in Maggie's girl, she is so cute... We can raise her with this seasons kids if you are wanting her to go soon...
