We don't have any penicilan right now, I just asked my mom to pick some up. Will Biomycin alone be good for a while. Also, I need to know what dosage of biomycin, and is that given as a shot too? Thank you guys. Oh yeah, the baby wasn't rotting, just dead, we would have smelled it if it was rotting. Thanks again. Bye.

really need to be sure that everything is out of there, flush or as my vet had us use a hormone on cow to make her rid everything, giving antibiotic when ther is still a twin or placenta in there wont help much,( i know hormones are popular, but that is how they treat retained placentas ect, and your vet can tell you how long it will stay in their system, I think what we used last time had only a week withdrawal, because i always specify dairy safe, but that costs more, don't know if you milk, but it goes for slaughter withdrawal as well, not a pleasant thought, but if you had to sell one for slaughter you'd feel better knowing it was safe to eat)

im sorry youve lost a baby its hard on all involved, esp the poor mammas that work so hard and cant find thier wee one

I would also get with a vet somewhere so you are not scrambling next time, I would hate for you to lose a valuable mamma.

You don't mix Boimycin with penn. The biomycin was the only antibiotic shot I gave Blossom. The vet had me give her one 8cc dose. She's a big La Mancha. She did just fine on it and has been able to have more kids since then.

We gave her about 6 ccs, and she's a BIG boer, maybe about 250 pounds, she lost a LOT of weight after kidding. I still don't know how to flush her, do I have to stick something in her? Thanks for the advice guys, bye.

She's doing fine, she's still bleeding on her rear, but last time we had to pull a kid the same thing happened, bleeding for about a week, slowly less and less blood. She's lonely though, she's seperated from the rest of the goats, and she wants to be with the girls, but my mom said that she can't go in with them yet, she has probably just a few more days, then she can go in with the girls. Thanks for all the help guys. Bye.
