I've use Sulmet 12% before and it didn't work to good on my one goat that had Cocci pretty bad. I ended up going to the Vet and they gave me Albon and it work great. When I ordered my meds from Jeffers I ordered the Di-methox 40% and do keep the others here also but I use it for my chickens. You also asked on the Cocci from chickens the Cocci that chickens get is different from what the goats gets. The Cocci the chickens carry is a whole diffferent thing. I have chickens, ducks and others next to my goats and no troubles there. Also if you give to much of the treatment for Cocci in goats you can cause thiamine deficiency and then you would have to start treating for that. Meds are good to give when a animal is sick but if give to much you can run into other problems. When my one goat was sick with Cocci I treated him for that alone with giving goat power punch, fresh clean water, cleaned out the stall really good that he was in and sprayed it down with blench to help kill the virus. While I was waiting on his stall to dry I cleaned out his drinking dish and feeding dish and then when his stall was dry I then put down fresh clean hay and then let him back in. After he got better and gave my goat some Probios to help his gut. Everyone has different ways of treating goats one way may work for one person when another way may not.
Good Luck on your goat and take care.
Happy Thanksgiving Now I got to get back to the kitchen.
Hope your goat keeps getting better. Oh if give to much grain it can cause the runs also. Just a thought now to kitchen I go.
