I called the goat-man whose doe was with my buck and had a swelling under her jaw. While he was apologetic and is picking her up today, he said that everyone's herd is dealing with CL and yadayadayada. I was soooo proud of myself for not getting ----y with him. I kindly explained that my girls had tested clean (and yes, I am learning to draw my own blood-I am going to test each year myself) and that I didn't want them to contract CL. I then tried my cheerleading for the Australia vaccine-AFTER we got everyone in the county to get their animals tested. I think I am going to try a community outreach-offer to draw blood if they'll pay for their own test tubes and cost of testing. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone tested?
Back to beginning o year parent conferences!

We are sending in blood tomorrow. I'll start a new thread to let you know what happens.
By the way, her swelling is about 1/2 now.
