If you can rip out the plastic liner they should be able to be recycled along with the rest of you paper.

Freecycle is all over the country. I've gotten some GREAT stuff from freecycle, but for some reason nobody ever responds to stuff I've offered

The plastic weave bags they use now detirate over time.I use them stapled to the tops of my chicken tractors to give shade to the chickens in them and they can go out in the run when it rains. It lasts for about 3 months then start falling apart.they dont recycle where We go because of disease.State laws.

I use them as insulation between the top plate and the rafters in the winter. They also make good fish baskets, worm bed liners, weed control around garden plants, garbage bags for barn refuse, and floor insulation between a barn sub-floor and the floor boards.

... do wish burlap would make a comeback though.
