My pygmy buck, Fynley, was like this when I first got him. If I reached through the fence to pet him he would butt my hands. He would come up and poke me with the tips of his horns. Now he craves attention, and especially loves his chin rubbed. what I did was feed him his grain everyday so now he loves me. I would get some BOSS and feed him every day, first from a dish and then after he calms down, from your hand. I am so glad my Fynley turned out so well, he is such a sweetheart. Everybody loves him. I can't wait to breed him this next season, in January.

My Goat Loves Me Now

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Apparently what he needed more than anything was time. I also started lunging toward him clapping once in his face when he charged, then pushing his head hard if he came at me.

He is very good now, I can even lead him by the collar...

Now I feel sorry that I am having him dehorned. I am sure it will be painful for him. But, I will keep his appointment for Monday because I worry that his horns could be a problem when he breeds my disbudded does. I looked everywhere for a disbudded Pygmy buck but there were none to be found.
