Hang in there Shelby. It's like trying to watch water boil. Relax, have a bottle or two of something really strong and when you are least ready for them, they'll arrive.

Been out all morning cleaning barn and what not.

We have progress.

Ligs are gone, little more discharge, and lots of pressure.

Thumbs up We're in Labor

I'm so excited we're in labor - actually Winona is I'm just tagging along for all the excitement. We've had goats now for 5 years and I felt so stupid - you all kept talking about ligaments and I had no idea what you were talking about. Then last night I came across another thread that had a link in it that explained. I knew the tail changed position, etc, but I had no idea those were the ligaments you all were talking about. Anhow, I checked them and low and behold they aren't there She is also using that suttle mommy voice, and her bag is/was huge. I had to come home because some ladies from church are coming over in 10 minutes, gonna send dh out there to keep track of things while I'm tangled up. Funny, Shelby I was going to clean the barn today too!!!

Keep u posted :banana02: :banana02:

Oh you guys! I am getting so green gilled jealous! My rosita looks like she will at least have twins (shehas for the past couple years) and I think she may have trips. But she is not due until April 30! Gracie and Gabby are due May 1 and May 11 respectively, but then there was a question as to whether they were even bred! My experienced goaty friend came over and said YUP, they look to be bred. Wait wait wait it is almost as bad as being preggers myself! ALMOST! How are all your girls doing? any babes yet?

Ruth, I would love to clean your barn . . . just as soon as I'm done with mine! Still waiting on Winona, she's got clear to turning white discharge and will stare off in space for a minute or two every now and again - contractions???

Like Shelby said . . .tap, tap, tap

I'm still waiting- and I cleaned my stinkin' barn out! I had been keeping her separate in a stall to let her relax before kidding. Yesterday I decided all this laying around was getting us nowhere, so I let her out to run around. She appreciated the fresh air and sunshine, I think but-

NO BABIES!!!

Yeah, but Cowgirlracer, Shelby lives about 6 miles from me. You're a little farther away.

Nope...I'm in the same boat. Not one single new kid yet. I miscalculated poor Mermaid. She isn't even close. Hopefully, I got Razzle right and she's due Saturday.

Lol see for me I am SUPPOSED to have new kids . Teehee...One doe does look like she is close though. Her stomach has dropped and I "TRIED" to feel to see if she is dialated but really couldn't tell.

I am not sure but I think she is in the first stages of labor..but her ligaments are not all the way gone. So maybe just maybe she is starting labor? She just picks at her food which isn't normal for her.

Well our waiting for Tassie is over.

She went into hard labour about 12 this afternoon. and had the cutest little doeling, at 2:18 pm Just one in there and boy was it a good thing. Cause being a pygmy I think this little girl was a big baby.

Our new little one is like a white grey mix in color over her body with a white patch across her belly and down her back leg. and a big white spot on her forehead.

She's just so cute..

Now hopefully the other 3 are bred and we will be waiting again within a few months.

Thumbs up Twins!! One of each!

Winona did it!! And of course I missed it. I took dd to the dr @ 1:30 when we were done we went to check on her and they were up and getting cleaned off. It was all over. Winona is a Saanen and the little buck, Buckley, looks like a Saanen and he's very big. The girl (Princess) looks Alpine and I have no idea where that came from, I don't think there is an Alpine within 40 miles. She is smaller and quite a snuggler. They both nursed well and were napping when we left. Mom was eating and watching over them. All is well :baby04:

Any news Shelby???

Wow!! Congrats! I guess I needed to read all the threads. Shelby our gilrs sound like they might be related - Princess is grey and white. And the best way i can think of to describe her is that she looks like she's part Alpine - white on the head (crown), white legs and white on the belly (some). I'll try to get some pictures and get them posted. Wow! Tassie & Winona both on the same day

Well, I was going to take a pic and try to post itm but the camera battery is dead.

We haven't thought of a name yet. We're trying to think of one but just can't come up with anything.

Her coloring is just so different. It is hard to explain a pic would really show you how she is just so cute.

But then again I am biased :baby04:

Congrats cowgirlracer I am glad I didn't miss it. For a while there she really had us worried.

Motherclucker, Just have a long talk with them. That's what I did to Tassie last night at the 12 am check.
