Thanks Keep the advise comming!

Coni is on a couple of groups on yahoo...The_Boer_Goat and Goat and sheep rancher.
She knows more about goats than most. Including vets. Even the vets at UC Davis. Raises several hundred (1500) or so of cashmere and boers. A wealth of knowledge www.crranch.org is her website. She will call you back.

I just had a goat a few months ago have a lump like yours. I watched it get bigger and bigger. I finally took a blade that I soaked in alcohol and I lanced it. I squeezed it and I got out almost a 1/2 cup of nasty out of it. I gave him antibiotics. I saved the goop and I went through it. I found a needle looking piece of hay that lodged in it and just festered up.
Just thought I would give you my two cents.
Good luck.

You don't always need to cull CL infected goats if you can keep them segregated.
