Hmmm, high of 56 yesterday up here in the Idaho panhandle, it was 34 degrees on my porch a few minutes ago...

And less than two weeks ago, we were in the mid to high 80s. Whew!

It was 55 when I got up this morning at 7 am. It is supposed to be around 85 today but with much less humidity than we normally have. We also need rain. Hasn't rained here in 15 days (on the news this morning).

StL checking in

Here in the STL area, it's still supposed to be 93 today but a cold front with some RAIN!!!!! is on it's way so it's predicted to be mid-80's the rest of the week. YEA!!!

Nights are starting to cool off and the humidity is dropping so we're about in the clear. Been a long, hot, dry summer.

Here in PA it has been low 80's with 50's at night. This week it has been mis to upper 80's and mid 50's at night. The best part is the lower humidity. But I can't wait until this weekend when it cools down into the 70's during the day again!

Over the weekend we had perfect weather - highs about 75 and lows about 50. Yesterday was about 85 - too hot for this time of year. We should settle back into a more normal temp range within a couple days. We have had lows of about 40 already this month but no rain at all. Really need some!

Didn't get out of the 50's here in Central Mt yesterday and down in the low 40's last night- Snow on the mountains south of us. I'm afraid I won't get to enjoy a single tomato out of my garden this year... sigh...

Its still nice here, no frost yet. Its been 60's during the day and sunny for the most part, still tee shirt weather. It is getting colder at night though, 40's and 50's, and in the morning there is a low mist over the lake. Thats a sure sign its getting to be fall. I noticed yeaterday that the swallows have gone.

Here in the beautiful Northwoods of WI, we have had a mix of weather. A week or two ago nighttime temps dropped into low 40's- upper 30's. This weekend, including yesterday highs were in the upper 80's.

Leaves are changing before our eyes. They seem to be falling sooner too. Acorns, pine cones are dropping also.

Today it will go into the mid-eighties with nights in the 50's. I don't care for hot weather, but the countryside is beautiful here right now. The fields are bursting all golden and purple with goldenrod and ironweed, and the soybean fields are turning russet. Soon the purple asters will bloom: summers last show of color. The next month will really be natures grand finale before the big cold. I wish everyone could see it!

We had 2 nights last week that the temp dropped to 32 degrees. I love it, it's killing the dad-gummed flies.

In Northwestern Ontario, just north of Minnesota was wet and warm for the weekend with temps in the 80's and lows in the 50's. Today is about 70 and continuing cloudy.
No frost to date yet. By full moon within about 10 days I expect the first frost will set in. Daylengths are shorter, so most of the ash and poplar leaves are yellow and starting to fall off indicating an impending autumn season.
Most songbirds or other birds have given any signs of migration. There are lots of late summer/early fall flower blooms for bees and lots of insect, spider, toad, snake and skunk activity.

Wink

Only 61 degrees at noon with light rain, but how very refreshing after 3 days of extreme winds and highs in the 90's. Supposed to be in the 40's tonight. Might have to break out a quilt.

Last week it was still in the 100's here in South Central South Dakota, but yesterday a little cold front passed through, and it was a bearable 80 degrees or so, but with a bit of a chill in the wind that made it seem chilly at the football game, but I'd take that over sweltering in the heat anyday! We'll see if it will stay cool or warm back up again...it's too early to tell!

stuck...

Our lows have been around 32 and our highs 50ish. Over the last couple of weeks, on clear nights we have been in the mid teens. Within the mext 30 days we will drop below freezing and stay.
