Thanks CF for the information link.
The library where I work has soil survey books on quite a few of the kansas counties, but I don't think it has all 105. Many have been updated since the earlier ones came out anyway.
I frequently use the local book or use the maps in them to help others see aerial views of their property. Kind of like a print "Earth Google".
Elevation lines, water drainage, wetlands, and of course soil type are just a few more uses as they were intended.
