metal detector questions....

Any suggestions regarding a metal detector appropriate for an 8 year old explorer? I want one that isn't a piece of junk, but also doesn't cost a bunch either--max $100 or so.

Thanks!

Try getting in to Whites, Garret, Bounty Hunter, Tessoro, ect. Web sites. Determine what you might need. Also try Used detector sites. Walmart sometimes sells them (Bounty Hunter) and there good ones. You might try Flea Cycle or Free cycle on internet in your area. Also Radio Shack has a line of them. I don't know what they are. Hope it helps. shadowwalker

Check out eBay. Garretts are the best IMO. I bought an old Garrett there for about 40 bucks. Works great. Bounty Hunters are pretty good too; lots of deals there on new and used ones.

I had a bounty hunter from walmart for $100 worked great, I since bought a White's and got some more depth, but that bounty hunter surprised me, worked real well.
