If you are Peta don't read.

I am looking to find some Farm raised Domestic Fox to breed for fur, Any ideas where to find some as my brother wants to get into breeding them.He wants Red fox but I think it would work to have Artic fox also. Thanks

I'm waiting to see when someone starts breeding chinchillas for longer hair...then spinning it. It sheds pretty easily, is the softest stuff out there, and the animals are reasonably easy to care for...but it would take a good breeding plan to increase the fiber length. And more time and money than I have.

Fox I know nothing about.

But, I AM a memer of PETA...People Eating Tasty Animals.....

there was a fella in Ohio that was breeding for sale a couple years back...

you ight contact moscow hide and fur and see if they know who will sell you live animals... they buy the hides from folks Gary just might knowsomeone who is selling live animals too.

James could you really do it? I am FAR from PETA (except for what Meg said) but anything that looks like a dog and it would be over for me! I'd end up with 500 "pets". I like the feel of fur, and would wear it if I was an Alaskan or lived somewhere really cold, but I guess until I get lots less wimpy, I'll have to stick with raising sheep for their wool.

foxes

Fox pee stinks REALLY REALLY BAD. You do not want foxes in pens any place close to your house.

Rose is right Mr. Dilley - the few wild fox I've seen in our deep South Texas locale are wearing extremely light coats, even in winter prime coats.

R.H. - anybody ever tell you you are one wacky guy?
