Buying Land

Anyone know any good sites to look for land? I don't like realtor.com because it doesn't cover a broad enough spectrum for me. You have to search in a specific area. I've always liked landandfarm.com though.

most of the ads on acreage.com are ancient. I guess you list something it just stays on there .

Try United Country: http://www.unitedcountry.com/

We liked some of their ads and talked to some of their agents; some are real responsive and some we always got an answering machine and no callbacks. Go figure.

You're either dreaming or wasting time if you do not have a specific area in mind you want to move to. Looking at online RE listings do not give you anything but price ranges. Doesn't tell you anything about the local's attitudes, shopping, schools, employment, etc. That's the first thing to decide (where you want to move to)based on factors improtant to you. THEN you start looking for property in that area and, if possible, make a visit or 2 there.

By the way...there is nothing wrong with daydreaming or wasting time! I did quite a bit of both before I found my dream place.

Land in BC

For land in British Columbia, Canada -- west coast, for private sale try Niho or for mls in BC, then type in Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, or Fort St. John, etc or where ever you want.

Good Luck,

Alex
