August folk lore

Has anyone ever heard about 3 days in August that if you cut anything down, such as a tree or heavy brush, during those 3 days, that it will not grow back? This is supposed to be a proven fact but no one seems to know exactly what days! Wouldn't it be great if it would work with grass!!! Or multiflora rose!!!

It just depends on the weather if trees/brush are already heat stressed and you cut them and it dosent rain for a few days after that they will die more often than not. My grampa always wanted to trim the roads this time of year for that reason.
