how much land is this?

I just saw a listing for some property and it said lot size is 234X151X253X174
do you know how much land this is under an acre over I dont know how to figure this out

An acre is 43560 square feet. This calculates out to about 39200 square feet (depends on the angles of the corners) or about .9 acres

An acre is about 208 feet square or 43,560 square feet. So if you multipy it out, you would have 39,700 approx sq ft or .9 of an acre.

A couple of folks have given you the answer so I thought I would show you how to calculate it for yourself... If you look at much land you will be doing it all the time.

Multiply the length times the width to get the area of a square or a rectangle. Since this is an irregular shape a quick and dirty way to get the answer is to find the average of the two sides. Length = (234+253)/2 = 243.5 feet
Width = (151+174)/2 = 162.5 feet
Area = 243.5 * 162.5 = 39,568.75 square feet
Divide that by 43,560 square feet/acre to get approximately .9 acres. Assuming of course I don't have any typos here.

As we used to say in school, "that is close enough for government work".
