Thank you and it seems to have been more a matter of paying $$$ than anything else....

The 'site plan' is a small scribbled drawing that looks somewhat like our land... :haha:

I think the main thing is don't put the septic system next to the well....

I think that should be commonsense.

I was shocked when the county health dept sent our drawing. I was expecting something more.......... professional looking.

Congrats on the big step.

Isn't it funny how homesteaders get their thrills from septics and wells! Don't downplay this...it is a major milestone. What would be the appropriate beverage and wording for the celebratory toast?

I would LOVE to post the 'site plan'-it is SO funny.. :haha:

However as it is so vague it would be difficult to put the septic in the wrong place....

Afterall we simply followed the site plan.

It Is funny how excited we all get over rather 'boring' events...

I used to LOVE muscle cars and fast bikes...now it is tractors

When we bought the land we celebrated with Champagne...well the 'Champagne of Beers(Miller High Life) :haha:

Hmmm, nothing wrong with a brewskie or twoskie but, I think Muscadine wine ought be be voted the national drink of the Homestead nation. I don't know what words for the toast though.

Congrats Oz and Mrs. Oz

I guess Toilet Water should be used to christen the septic and "Down the Hatch" should be the toast!
