free house building plans

Does anyone know a source for free house building plans that can be downloaded? I've done searches, but the ones stating free aren't really free.

well, what kind /size plans you need, is this something thats going to beinspected and need a stamp ?
if thats the case you need blueprints, not just plans.

I have books and books of plans, and could e-mail you some if you know what your looking for.

I'll need the actual blueprints. I have to submit them to the building office for approval.

Have you looked at this website? http://www.beautiful-home-101.com/14...lueprints.html or www.nautahomedesigns.com

The first website says they have free blueprints to download, but I'm having trouble locating them!

Okay...think I found them (two pages, this is the link to page 2): http://www.nautahomedesigns.com/inde...+Type&offset=9

This one would be doable with modifications (remove the turret and garage and lower the roof line):

Here's a university site that someone has posted a long time ago - but it has pretty detailed house plans.

http://www.ag.ndsu.nodak.edu/abeng/plans/

Maybe one of these would do.

Sancraft, would you be interested in a "A" frame house? There kind of small but cheaper to build. It might be perfect for a single mom and two DD's.

Not free, but, not pricey either. And you get tech support from them.

Check the gallery. One of the small houses was built by a 17yr old girl.
(wondering why there were no 17yr old gals like tha when I was 17)

How big a house do you want? We have a set of plans for a two bedroom that we paid over $l00 for (I think) and you could have them for $5 plus shipping. They are at our son's house right now, so I can't tell you too much about them but if you are interested I can get them and give you more details. Rita in TN
