Yes they do, our compost is well enriched.....
I have a large screen (2ft x4ft heavy duty 1/2 wire mesh) for sifting finished compost, to get all the lumps out before use.

Actually, I would rather compost the owners of the marauding dogs, but the Bible tells me I can't do that.
