Reflectix for insulating windows?

I couldn't find a more appropriate forum here...would you say Reflectix (silver bubble wrap kind of insulation) does a good job keeping the cold out? I want to use it to cover some very cold windows on one side of the house.

Thanks

It does quite well, but will block the light. Regular bubble wrap won't block the light but will still insulate the windows. It is not as effective as the foil/bubble wrap because the foil reflects more heat back into the room. I put some of the reg bubble wrap on my windows here and it does make a difference.

I didn't know the clear would work too, thank you. I am wanting to use the foil on the spare bedroom windows so dark is okay.

Forgot to mention that I used the foil/bubble to line the inside of a travel trailer we were living in for a couple of yrs in CO. It really did make a big difference in comfort level.
