Welcome

Welcome to the forum from your neighbor to the south, i.e. Kansas.

I worked on a DOT by-pass project for a subcontractor in 1998. The sub had the contract for soil compaction and for the placement of rock under certain overpass pads. Which of course means I really wasn't into heavy equipment other than a payloader. After moving so much with the payloarder I do find it tedious to move anything with the front loader of my compact tractor.

Overall I really enjoyed working around all of the machinery that was on the project. Don't think I'd want to operate a scraper as they are so rough on the driver.

Again, welcome.

WElcome to HT i co moderate on the "shop Talk" section and anytime you have something to add feel welcome to jump in.

And ask any questions of the nice folks around when someting stumps you on the homestead.....
