Has winter started to come where you are?

It's certainly coming this way, it was 26 degrees this morning - supposed to get up to 40 today.

Being curious how it is where you all live!

Oh, yeah. We set a record for snow fall...almost two inches. The last record was set in 1971. It was cold this morning when I got up around 25 degrees. Tonight it's supposed to drop to 15 degrees. Brrr...I'm not ready yet!

We had our first frost last night and it is not supposed to get out of the 40s today. Just last week we were in the 70s.

I'm not far from KincoraFarm, and I woke to snow the past two mornings. Not sure of the temp., but the water buckets outside were frozen solid.

It was 56 yesterday morning and only going up to 80 today. Don't laugh...this indicates a change of season here! Oh, and most of the plywood has been taken down. Isn't that a sign of fall?

Not much in the way of snow up here, but a nice cold -7C (20F) this morning. The car had a dusting of snow, not enough to brush off.

For the past few days it has been in the 60s during the day and 20s and 30s at night here. I wish we could just skip winter and go right on to spring

I walk every morning before I start my day with a friend of mine. We had been walking about half an hour when my feet began to crunch under me. It was still dark out, so I could see really well, but I could make out the occasional glisten of FROST!!! that means winter is here.

OUr days have been about 4-8 degrees. But we're metric.

It's the typical mid 20-30's at night and 40's during the day here in North WI. If I could just get my 3 yr old daughter to accept the fact that winter is coming, I'd be happy. She never wants to wear a coat. And people say 2 yr olds throw tempter tantrums! Becky

The light has that peculiar clarity I associate with winter. That, and it is dark almost as soon as I'm home- on the other hand, last week at getting-off-work I was out in the lake raking up hurricane detritus in chest deep water.

I've started wearing socks to bed. I guess that qualifies as winter.

We were below freezing last night. 36 degrees here right now...we are getting up to about the mid 50s during the day. Definitely a chill to the air. We aren't ready for winter yet! But it will be upon us very shortly. Lots to do before teh ground freezes too badly.

It's about 36 degrees here now and will probably dip into the 20's tonight. It's been rather nice but cold. No snow yet, more importantly no ice. A little windy though.

Yup, it looks like winter has come a bit early to Maine alright....it's 13 degrees outside right now. It isn't expected to get much above freezing today. The ground is starting to freeze. :waa: No snow yet, so it doesn't feel like winter yet to me. It's just a bit nippy.

We're in the process of putting in a wood furnace. Just so when the oil man comes to deliver this winter I can laugh smugly to myself.

I suppose today would be a good day to bank the house....
