Question HELP! One of the greatest mysteries EVER!

OK I have 2 questions. But first a description of the problem.
We have a fairly new house <5yrs with Bemis brand toilet seats. About a month ago during our regular cleaning. We noticed that the seat began turning blue, ONLY where there was skin contact. (Yes we have blue butt prints on our toilet seats.) We normaly use scrubbing bubbles to clean with. The blue --- print will not come off with normal cleaning or even with bleaching.
1. What in the heck is going on?
2. How can we get it off?

Have you ever pursued genealogy? Just wondering if there was a Smurf in there somewhere. Honestly though I have never heard of that.

There is a brand of Foley Catheter bag (yeah, the tube inserted into your bladder) that turns purply blue after contact with urine. The plastic formulation may have been slightly different than the other brands.
The other possibility is that somehow the seats had been impregnated with some kind of natural LITMUS- you know- that turns different colors for acid or base? Human skin is naturally acidic.
Lastly, if any of your kids are the type with a really strange sense of humor, I would check their closets for blue markers....

Never having heard of Bemis toilet seats, I Googled it & they give an email address for contacting them. Perhaps they would like to hear about the colorful toilet seats.

No kids.. so no marker possibilities.
Wife is pregnant so my first guess was Preggo Hormones.
2 of the 3 turlits are affected, my wife uses all 3 (hello pregnant) I mostly use 2 that are affected. The couch is not blue where I plant my kiester either.
Aughhh this is driving me nuts.

Bemis toilet seats have a blue undercoating to make the paint look whiter. The Scrubbing Bubbles is not supposed to be used on painted surfaces. It makes the paint soft and it will either blister or rub off.

Another case solved by detective Gayle.

Great my --- is abrasive! We do clean the 3rd turlit less (due to less use.)

The reason I know what is happening to your toilet seat is that I ruined several before I found out what was happening to them. Even then, my sister told me to read the Scrubbing Bubbles can.

Some of the seats I ruined had blue undercoating and some had black. Either color will make the white look whiter.

Live and learn.

Well here is a picture in case anyone wants to see my blue --- (print).
I wonder if it is unique like a fingerprint.
The cops should be able to see that it is chapped.

OMG ROFLMAO!!! This is one of the funniest threads around. BUT on a serious note, Scrubbing Bubbles is an incredibly toxic cleaner. I tried it and had a two-day migraine, sick as a dog! I don't think it's good for your wife to be using it, even if it doesn't make her feel sick. Chris
