What happened to the pup in East Texas?

I looked for the post this evening and it was gone--apparently edited away. Has a home been found for him? A bogus post? Just wondering because I wanted to do something.

I haven't heard anything, either... Hm. It never occurred to me that it could have been made up!

I don't believe Karen has the time to make up stories like that. She's just an honest person trying to help out a critter. You could always pm her and ask directly.

I don't make bogus posts and the insinuation is insulting to say the least. In the past, I have seized one of my service dogs back from a client who was abusing it, hid the dog and had the people come to my house threatening both my life and my dogs' lives. To this day, 4 years later, I am the only one who knows where that dog is.

I edited this post because I was intimidated by the two men who showed up at my gate. I have Service Dogs on my property and I am protecting them. It is conceivable that someone out here may know me and I did not want to jeopardize my animals.

As for the pup, I have to pick him up tomorrow morning or he will be euthanized. I have nowhere to take him if I pick him up. I have quite a decision to make tonight.

I have a business down here in TX, and some people out here know my handle, so please be careful what you post as you may muddy my impeccable rep in the animal world and that would hurt many more animals than you know.

I am not coming back to HT because of this accusation. If you would like to help with the pup, email me at wolfsoul@koyote.com. Otherwise, save your judgements for someone who really doesn't care about animals. I'm not that someone.

And why would I take my valuable time to make up a story? Think about it. I swear. When I asked the question about winterizing my miniature ponies a while back, my friend walked up to me in the store and made a comment about "your post." He recognized me.

You guys are so quick to judge. Here I am swearing bullets, sleeping with my rifle and escorting my dogs outside because of this and you make these stupid assumptions. There were no PM's asking me what the story was.........

I'm out of here, I have calls to make to try to save this dog.

By the way, my experience is that people judge others by what's in their OWN hearts.

I don't get it, where was the slap?

I too was watching this thread with great interest in the pup and outcome.

I didn't see anyone accuse anything, rather a simple question to the whole, not you.

Where does the heart bypass thing fit in? I am typing this with the stitches of my second quad in 4 months still in my chest? I guess this is a big deal lol.

I don't see where anyone meant any harm either. Just asking. I was watching the post too. Not everyone on here knows everything about all the posters. Everytime I come on here, there are new people I don't know. I don't get to spend too much time here as I am so busy, so I get way behind with new people. But it's a great forum all in all.

Karen, I am so very sorry that you feel I have insulted your good name and incredibly good and loving intentions. Such was not my intent, and I do beg your pardon for not being as clear as I obviously could have been.

I was replying to what Amelia said about making things up -- and I (if you look at my emoticon) expressed absolute shock that someone would make something like that up.

If you recall, I was concerned enough to try to come up with a useful idea, even recommending calling the local TV station. I used to work for a vet, I've brought in my fair share of strays and struggled to find homes for them, even keeping them in spite of the pressure they brought me at home.

As for what's in my heart, I should hope that you would take what I said in the best possible light, as I take the posts I read here. My concern was for you and the pup, and I was merely asking if anyone else had heard anything.

Pony/Ivy

There are people that make bogus posts on here all the time... We've been hurt before... now we're gun shy... I'm sure no harm was intended by the remarks.

Washington State and Illinois are a long ways from Texas. I'm here in Texas (D/FW area) and I do not know the poster who will be rescuing the pup. I think the stress of her situation is striking out, not her, Amelia, Pony.

WolfSoul, please, take care of yourself. Know that we are praying for your mother and for you. If there are men who are making your life miserable over any dog that you have had to take away from an abuser, consider getting a peace warrant against them. If nothing else, take down their license plate number and report their actions to the sheriff's department. Ask for assistance in dealing with such creeps.
And, yes, call the local TV stations and the newspapers. The more light that is shone on the problem, the more likely the roaches are going to go crawling back under their rocks, especially with law enforcement in the mix.

Stress can be a killer too. If you believe in God, now is the time to ask Him to carry you through this. It's awesome how much stress is released through prayer.

Sincerely, TXlightningbug

WolfSoul, for your own safety, do not let anyone know what your handle is. Nobody exept my family know mine.

There are nuts out there, and even a friend may accidently let something slip in the hearing of someone who does not like you.

My apologies also. As you know, I sent a private e-mail in response to the original post indicating my desire to assist you in finding a home for this pup in the event that you could find some way of housing him on a temporary basis until something else could be found. I looked into a number of rescue/foster options in this area and even inquired about PayPal with regard to the idea of paying for this little guy's plane ticket if there was anybody on the board who could offer him a good home. I received a thank you to my pm, but no additional information. I really felt that the ball was in your court because until I heard that there was some temporary option for the pup, there wasn't much more that I, here in Washington State, could do. Over the next few days, I heard nothing further.

I went back to the original post and found that it had been "edited" away. I posted as I did out of genuine confusion about the situation. Your original post suggested an emergent and time-sensitive situation. It didn't make sense that there would be a call for help and then--nothing.

Again I apologize for the manner in which the question was posed. No offense was intended.

She's probably just upset due to the problem mentioned before.
