Unique Oportunity
Hello All,
Next year we will be hosting only twelve guests for the summer at Paw Creek Homestead in South West Alaska. We are trying to get our feet wet in our future business as a small lodge catering to fisherman, photographers, sightseers, and those looking for a bit of adventure. For 2005 lodging will be in large canvas tents with wood burning stoves. A friend and resident of the nearest native village will be guiding with us as well. We will be charging just over what it costs us to run our guests. Fuel and food are expensive in the remote Alaskan Bush, we are paying about $4.50 per gallon of gas. Transportation will by by bush plane, ATV and Jet boat. Just getting to the Paw Creek Homestead will be worth the cost of the visit. A round trip ticket to Anchorage from most of the lower 48 can be had for about $400. Guests will fly through the Chigmit Mountain Range, kind of looks like the Tetons with a lot more Tetons and a few active volcanos thrown in, the flight is spectacular.
As many of you know Pam and I will be building our home at Paw Creek and will be moving our family there year round when we have closed in and finished paying for our project in full. With any luck we will be closed in by fall of 2007.
If you have never visited Alaska and want to get a feel for the Alaskan Bush, possibly to homestead there yourself, don't miss the opportunity to come out and visit us.
Warmest Regards,
Anataq,
