Peak colors

The oaks are still green which helps make the contrasting bright oranges and reds of the maples even more vibrant.
And then, there is a multitude of shades of golds and yellow with the dark green of the pines mixed in.

The 8 to 10 different species of trees here in our woods are at the peak of color right now.

Have to appreciate it today becauce the first good wind will have most all the color laying in a blanket on the ground.

Hate it when the trees get naked. Ours have barely started to color up. We had our first hard frost last Sunday.

When my trees loose their leaves I get to see the sunsets for a few months.

It's a fair trade for me.

I've noticed ours here in SW Wi have really changed in the last week. I'm going to be raking soon. I thought some of you might be interested in a different perspective of fall colors.
