I thought I saw one a while ago. I think it would be a very busy place, some where you could have intelligent conversations that you can actually understand!

I would try one with this group if it was available. Except I have trouble figuring out who is talking to who and hate to butt in. :haha:

I would just like a place where you can go to talk with someone on a one on one basis, especially after a post. I often find that once I've asked a question, and receive an answer or comment that it spawns a lot of ideas/more questions that a conversation is a lot more helpful/enjoyable. If you're communicating with someone, and others are listening, you know they have some ideas to contribute, by all means, butt away!

Readers, we have a chat room in existance right now, its homesteadtodaychatters atMSN chat sites. There is just nobody useing it for some reason, you have to register in to use it. I am co moderator with Kindred Canuck, she is on vacation right now and I am haveing trouble with MSN access to the site and 3 other site I frequent. Stand by for a few and I will see if I can reenter at this time.

There were people from another forum whom were banned for their actions at their forum conserning KC, whom did the banning because at that time it was her site exclusively. I am still comoderator if I could onlyget back into MSN sites, anybody know what might be the problem? None of my MSN sites will accept me enter, including my own veterans site.

there is a link somewhere on singletree. i wish people could get in that room to chat with me sometimes. i still pop in every now and then, but no one is ever there. i'll try to get the link posted in a couple days, not that it'll do any good as long as moo can't get in and kc is on vacation.

I think you get better and more considered answers from a bulletin board but IM chat boards have a place too. My wife is a fan and I wouldn't mind chatting with folks like y'all but if it doesn't have some control for access you can invite some particularly obnoxious contributors, whose only direction is to completely ruin a decent exchange.

The chat site is http://groups.msn.com/homesteadingtodaychatters I spent the afternoon trying to get it open for your use but cannot get word back before tomorrow, if msn comes through with their promise to look in to it. Will let you know as soon as something comes available.

http://groups.msn.com/HomesteadingTodayChatters is up and running. Go to www.msn.com/home and establish a msn net passport, download the chat site softwear, place application at the address above. Admittances are twice a day at minimum, more often if my schedual allows.

Boxwood, I went to your chat room, nobody home.
I applied to the boards MSN chat room too. Wiating for reply.
FYI, for those using MAC's (if there are any), you will not be able to chat at the MSN site. It doesn't allow for MAC OS. And no I am not making this up. And I quote:
"You cannot chat in MSN Groups chat rooms if you are using a Macintosh
computer."
That was listed as the answer under the "known issues" area.
