Could your cow be killing your chickens?

This is such a weird idea, I'm not sure I believe it at all. But this article says that deer and cows have been documented eating youg birds including chickens.
As one person said to me about chicken predation "everyone loves chicken." Well, maybe when your dog looks all innocent at you, he might be. It might be your cow.

We had a chicken that went off and hid a nest under the cow's hay manger. When the chicks started hatching they would be running around among the hay. Cows would slurp up a chick and not even know that they did it. I found a couple of "drowned" chicks before I could finally locate the nest and move mom and chicks to safety.
I had a dog that used to slurp up mice. He would roll them around in his mouth and then spit them out totally drowned. He was a golden retriever - never happy unless something was in his mouth.

The cow was crouched in the bushes, her tail was twitching, then pounce, that was the end of the chicken,....Never seen it. The story said trail cameras have caught it on pictures but notice they didn't publish any of those pictures,.... too horrific, I suppose is the excuse.

I know for a fact that Tamworth hogs would eat chickens in the 50s. But someone told dad to buy tankage and theyed stop. He bought a bag, but they already had it in their mind and wouldn't quit, so he sold them. Never had any other trouble with any other breed of hog.

One time in the barn a cow was reaching through a gate licking a kitten. The kitten was purring and turning every which way like they do while being petted. Then the cow stuck its tongue out and wrapped it around the kittens head and pulled it into its mouth. It was scratching at the cows nose and i could hear muffled meowing. I was curious to see if it would actually eat it. But, i didnt want to see the kitten die so I ran over and hit her in the head until she spit it out. I had never seen a cow do that before.

Deer do eat meat time to time, I saw a picture in a article one time of a deer stomping trout then eating it.

I would assume its a imbalance in diet and something like a pregnant women's cravings.

As much as we like to think we are above Instinct, there is a hard code in all Creatures when it comes to survival.

Ask the Donner Party... you go with out the proper things long enough and you brain starts shutting down systematically.

Might actually explain the state of the world.
