Angry More adventures with critters

I looked out back a few minutes ago and there was a dang beaver skulking his way across the back!

Now i alread have an obese groundhog and deer and a fox --- and even though I'm not seeing bunnies anymore, there's some poop which looks suspiciously like bunny poop every morning in the same spot.

But I'll be danged if i let some beaver come moving in and taking over the place.

Even worse, he's a confident fellow. I went charging out back with two giant dogs AND HE TRIED LOOKING CUTE AT ME. I had to yell at him to even scare him!

That just won't do.

How do i make the beaver get a move on? :yeeha:

Yes, actually, it's getting to be a bit ridiculous. I can on;ly assume this is what i get for mowing out further this year than i ever have before --- now i get to actually SEE what's moseying around out there.

Not to mention, there's armadillos down below on the neighbor's side of the gully. I put cayenne down, though.

In any case, I just read a glowing review of the beaver. Apparently, unlike the completely useless groundhog :haha: , the beaver is actually kind of useful, if you don't mind them gnawing down trees. And they don't tend to overpopulate an area.

So the beaver can stay. BUT SOMETHING'S GOT TO GO! My vote's for that no good obese groundhog! :yeeha:

Maybe you should get a dachsund to take care of that groundhog. Get a standard, not one of those silly miniatures. I had one that would go down the armadillo holes and routed all those critters out.

You be careful what you turn over down there! My neighbors (back in colorado) found a dinosaur in their backyard.

Come on down, rockpile, he's all yours! I'm sure I'm not far from you and the drive would be worth it for you --- trust me, this fellow's a big fat one. So fat I thought he was a miniature bear for a while!

Wink

Big Rockpile - have you been watching old re-runs of Johnny Carson - remember his tongue in cheek "save a tree - eat a beaver" quote - along with the Fakcowie Indian tribe.

No realy Beaver is good very lean like Muskrat Beavers will cut the something out of trees, and they dig very large tunnels.

Groundhog is better than Coon just want to make sure you cut the glands out in its armpits. If its old boil it up until tender, then bake it in the oven with Salt,Pepper, and Sage.I do the same with Coon and Possum. If their young just roll them in Flour,Salt, and Pepper and fry them.

I still don't know why my MIL don't like eating at my place with all these good eats :haha:

Where do you live? I want pelicans. Will the USPS send them in a chicken box?

Greetings from Montana! We used to have a pair of beavers down at the beaver pond below us on the mountain. They were the most wonderful and beautiful creatures. The dont kill your animals and they are fun to watch. Unfortunately some city kids came up to party and shot and killed the beavers, now the beaver pond looks so lonely. So we will gladly take any beavers you all want to get rid of. ****es off the ranchers but I love them!
