Red Gate Farm, LLC in central IL recently opened the 2015 class season! Red Gate Farm is a sustainable, draft-horse-powered, small farm, raising all-natural, organic meats and produce for sell direct-to-consumers. All aspects of the farm are based on sustainability, increasing fertility, and stewardship of the land and animals. Can you imagine raising animals that are healthy, on a farm without bad odors, overgrazed paddocks, and tons of flies? It is possible!! All classes are focused on teaching sustainable, small scale homesteading, farming, and self-sufficiency skills. Attendees come from all over the midwest, and classes offer an invaluable source of information. Whichever class or clinic you choose, you are guaranteed to leave feeling motivated and more confident in meeting your personal homesteading goals. Classes include topics such as:
