Dominican Republic,anyone live there?need a way to ship there ch

Okay my cousin lives in the Dominican Republic and needs an air compressor he said they are really expensive there and even the cheap ones there cost more than our good ones so we were thinking I could buy one here and send it to him but the shipping is outrageous! He did say he heard there is a different shipping company nothing anybody's heard off like. Usps,UPS or FedEx but something different and it might be slower which is fine but I can't find out who that is and he does not know the name!
Looked at amazon too....expensive...
So I was wondering..... I was thinking if somebody lives there they might know how to get things shipped to them cheaper, any help would be appreciated , thank you

Check on DR1 forums, it's full of expats that have nothing better to do then chat away on the forums all day. It's also a very good resource for the DR but as you will find out it has it's quirks.
