The only way to deter a cat from going to a specific place is to attempt to train it to actually go there. Anything else and you lose.

Not really. I got one here that I didn't have to neuter as I tried to give it a dose of 22. It didn't take. Its still here, but it has a swagger now it didn't have sometimes.

All depends on the cat some like Tabasco others hate it. Same goes with citrus scent - some hate it and it doesn't phase others so basically you have to learn what works for your cat(s).

You have to "train" or condition the cat so he will avoid the tobasco smell. Simply apply a liberal amount to his backside with sandpaper. You may need to do this several times but they do eventually catch on. Turpentine works too.

I've eaten cougar but I remain hopeful that I have not consumed domestic cat, although, I have eaten in a few questionable establishments.

If you don't have sandpaper the old timers used a nice dry corncob .

Powdered habanero worked pretty good for me to blockade cats at least for awhile.
