I've learned quite a bit from the U of Tube.

For instance, this guy is teaching me to weld:

There have been other videos on other topics over the years that have been very well done.

I cant post links because it was a long time ago, but youtube helped us when it was time to kill our first chicken, then another video helped up pluck our first chicken.

When the van blew a head gasket my husband found a video posted for our make and model and changing the gaskets himself. Saved us about $1000 dollars. Hes very mechanical anyway just had never done this before.

I also learned how to dig up and divide my rhubarb and my dahlia plants.

I'm learning Japanese, we changed a leaking shower cartridge, repaired a dryer, cleaned/oiled sewing machine, tips on container gardening, tried to learn to juggle (fail)...YouTube is my first go to when I need to learn just about anything.

I am so thankful for YouTube.

If I don't know how to repair something, the Tube is the first place that I go. I have used it for countless projects.

A few weeks ago, I was able to straighten a badly bent wash tub using a body hammer and a dolly after watching videos on the Tube about hammering out dents in cars. The tub looked awesome when I got done, if you don't mind me saying so.

It hasn't been that many years ago that, before the internet, if you had a badly bent wash tub, the local 'experts' would tell you that it could never be straightened, as if they held the sole supreme encyclopedic knowledge on the topic. "It can't be done" they would quip. In today's world, there are hundreds of videos on every topic that you can imagine.

I have saved myself countless dollars and an unbelievable amount of time by using YouTube.

My question is how long will the Tube be free?

I just hate that after watching so long, my time runs out and it keeps cutting out. Around 3 or so weeks then it happens.
