Bread from a machine question

Seeing the bread machine thread got me thinking.

Anyone here got a recipe for bread machine bread which comes out like the "sticky white bread" you buy from the store? All of my bread comes out fairly heavy which is great for eating along but it just doesn't make for good sandwiches.

When you say sticky white bread are you talking about bread that is very moist and airy with a soft crust? If so, you can try a pizza dough recipe in the bread maker, or you can do an ordinary white bread recipe with an egg in it (that's the one I prefer). If you do it with an egg you need to add the egg to the milk in a bowl and blend and whip it up until it's frothy before putting it into the bread machine with the other ingredients.

My bread recipe:
2 tbs lard, 2 tbs sugar, 2 scant tsp salt, 11 oz of water. Add 4 cups hi gluten flour,
1 1/4 tsp reg. yeast.
I use the first setting on my breadmaker which is about 3 hrs and 25 min. My family loves it. It is the 2 lb recipe.

The recipe I use is:

1 cup water (110 degrees)
3tbs vegetable oil
3 cups bread flour
3Tbs sugar
1/2tsp salt
2 1/4 tsp yeast

The bread flour makes it more airy and less dense like all purpose flour can. And I always set mine on the lightest crust setting.
