Electrified Gate

Anyone use these drive thru electified gates? I am thinking of putting this at the end of our driveway as a second gate to keep the LGDs in. I am thinking of putting pipe insulation on ends to help with scratching of vehicles. Do you think I'll have to put a sign up telling people to just drive thru? Will people realize it's electrified? I had never seen one of these until searching for it online.

you think pipe insulation on the ends will help with that? I was also going to put it at window height on my car if possible, I don't care about the trucks.
