Mobile Home Insurance Provider Recommendations

I have a mobile home on acreage in southeastern Missouri that we want to insure. It is not a primary residence and I plan to install a mobile home approved wood stove per manufacturer install specs.

Have a couple of outbuildings, large shed and 30x40 pole barn shop under construction.

The company that insures my home in St. Peters, MO does not insure anything that is not primary residence.

Want to get all building insured so I thought you folks might have some companies I should try to reach out to.

we have state farm and are happy with them. not the cheapest but works for us

I use Foremost for my mobile home. We had two places and they insured the second home(mobile also) as a 'part year' residence.

I, too, have Foremost insuring my trailer (as well as my barn and other construction).

I also have Foremost now, but also had Merkel. I don't know about the secondary residence situation, as we live in our MH, but we do heat with wood and neither of them had a problem with that. The age of the MH (1971) was an issue with other companies.

We had Shelter Insurance for our double-wide trailer with a wood stove. We lived in southern IA but I am pretty sure they are based out of MO.
