Anyone shop at BJ's, a membership

warehouse similar to Costco's?

How are the prices?

I have a Costco membership but it's too far away and BJ's is closer.

We have a membership through dh's work. Having had memberships at bjs and Costco, I don't really see any huge differences. Bjs will take manufacturers coupons. Costco may have a better electronics department, but that may vary by location. They do carry some different products, but bjs seems to carry the ones I use the most. That too may vary by location.

We only pay $20 for our membership, so any advantages Costco has over bjs, which aren't many imho, aren't worth the price difference in membership fees.

We belong to both BJ's and Costco. I got the BJ's membership thru work. At BJ's you can stack coupons. Every month they send a coupon book, and you can use both the BJ's coupon and a manufacturer's coupon. You can also use more than one coupon if there is more than one item with a bar code bundled together. They also have other coupons at the door when you walk in. I like their dog and cat food though I wish the dog food came in bigger bags.
Overall, I like Costco better, but BJ's sometimes has smaller packs which is good for a smaller family. They are also much closer to us.

In Virginia we belonged to both. There is a lot of overlap but both stores carry some items that are different enough to justify both memberships for us. Where we were, the shopping experince was far better at BJs. Costco was always like a mad rush, long lines, etc.

Now in FL, we have neither nearby so we joined Sam's.
