other columns here

Hi, All, I am regularly surprised to see a few hundred viewers for this category, and a few tens for Countryside Families. This is a little heads' up that lots of general stuff is asked & discussed there, too.

Don't do CS as much. Swore at one time I'd never darken the door again, but I have posted a couple of things and broken my own word.

On a site with fairly intense moderation, I find it to be the most heavily moderated of the bunch. I referenced the term we country people use to refer to a male donkey, in regards to the actions of a public person. I was flagged for cursing on the board.

Therefore, to not cause trouble for me or my electronic neighbors, I keep my rambunctious self confined to less genteel areas...

Yeah, if it's anything but sunshine and roses, it tends to get deleted pretty quick. I can see the point, but it does seem to diminish the usefulness of the board.

Countryside Families is not seen unless logged in. Before we made that change it would have 2 or 3 hundred if you count the not logged in and bots. That makes some of the difference.

Reading drama can be fun sometimes. Sometimes, a commenter will toss a Molotov cocktail into a thread and run. It can be entertaining.

I Use More. That is, I click New Posts often and speed read. I see HT as one and enjoy every person and poster. Everyone makes me think and I don't have to agree or disagree. I know that some only read one forum and that's alright too. HT is my only like source.

I participate less because of this very thing. I find way to many people promoting city attitudes here. There seems to be much less useful information than when I signed up a few years ago.
