Uses for honey not ingested?

I put some honey in jars that contained coins- 3 quarts, before washing the jars. Oops- now do not want to use the honey as food. Do you know of a use for honey? Hate to just toss it....

Honey makes an excellent wound dressing, especially for burns. It's also nice in lotions and lip balms. It's a good supplement for invalid/weak animals. Dogs like it.

honey face scrub, just toss together some oatmeal and honey, add a touch of milk if it is to thick let sit on face for a few minuets . My 2 dd's and I use this every day so we each have a ready available jar. Also works well for a foot soak.

wounds..... DH had two chest tubes removed, we decided to do a side by side test with honey on one and doctor recomended treatment on the other. The honey side started healing so well we gave up and added honey to the other one as well.

How about a thin line on the back of a paper to stick it to the fridge like a post-it...

Honestly, I'd probably eat most of it... I mean, so long as there wasn't a pile of dirt in the bottom of the jar..

It's an anti-bacterial, and you figure it comes from nature, where there is probably more dirt than that jar had...

Wow, bummer to lose 3 qts! But as others say, it is good in hand cream. The Naked Bee cream I use is the ONLY one that can heal my hands - it has honey in it. Probably not a lot, so you might have a supply that will last a while for that purpose.

You can always pour some on the living room floor to get those pesky sugar ants out of your kitchen.

Honey is an antibacterial and a bactericide. In third world countries it is used in surgery to maintain cleanliness around a wound and is said to isolate cancerous materials to keep them from spreading. There are dozens of things it could be used for.Your imagination is your only limit!
