we bought a new freezer today

while transporting it home, it tipped and lay reclined at about a 45 degree angle on its back for about a half hour. How long does it need to be upright before plugging it in? Thanks

I have been told 24 hrs is plenty of time to wait by a appliance repairman.

hmmm...I dont believe that we need a repairman, we just need to know how long it takes for the freon to settle again

In the Ozarks, people go by thier own time....
I'm sure that in Ozark-time 24 hours is not long enough to wait for a repairan... maybe for a call back... but we have had 3-4 days and even up to 6 weeks for them to call back....

I think he meant the repairman told him to wait 24 hrs before plugging it in.
