It's been weeks since there has been a decent amount of sunshine here. (half a day of full sun in a month is NOT a decent a amount) I am hoping we'll see some sun soon. Oh, and it just started sleeting/snowing.

I spent it trenching and installing new electric supply lines to the barn before the ground freezes in order to keep stock tanks from freezing when winter arrives tomorrow. In all reality, November was much colder for us than December has been thus far.

Rained hard all day. Took a couple naps. Ran to town tonight and did some shopping, took youngest dd to look at Christmas lights. It was a good day.

Thank goodness the days start getting longer from here on out!

I'm glad "Winter" is here - not for the cold weather and snow - but for the days getting longer. It's bad when you leave to go to work and it's dark, and it's dark when you leave FROM work!

Less than 100 miles south of you the temps are still very decent for fall. I am SW of you by about that distance and it was above 40 this morning.

Are you talking about daylight or cloudy over cast days? My daylight hours are aprox 7:30 to say 5:00.

Up here in the far north we call this the Longest Night and it is a time of celebration since this marks the time of the return of the sun and every day will be longer. On average the day increases by 9 minutes which really adds up quickly. I love the bonfires and parties we have even when it is extremely cold out. Mind you we are certainly experiencing climate change up here - 10 to 15 degrees warmer than normal for all of November and December and only a couple of inches of snow.

We have been really blessed as of no real Winter weather. I know it can change any day so no I'm not complaining.

Day after Christmas its supposed to drop like a rock here.

Its funny how, if you go a week or more with every day cloudy, then it clears off, im amazed at how the length of the day has increased since I last saw sunlight.

will you keep the Ohio Vally cruddy weather to your self? Mom was from Ohio and she would complain about the winters there. Oklahoma is NORMALLY mostly sunny. For the last month is has been like ohio. misty almost every day perpetual overcast and just blah. ACK!!!!!! What happened to Oklahoma sun???? solstice is not even upping my spirits.. seriously I might have to start tanning to improve my mood. sun cancer might be with the improvement in mood.
