Geminid Meteor Showers 12/12, 12/13

The Geminid Meteor Shower peaks tonight and tomorrow.
Then there is a minor shower 12/21- the Ursids- that coincides with the full moon.
Then the Quadrantids peak on 1/3 and 1/4. NEVER WILL FORGET TAking my grands out to watch the Quadrantids falling UP from the Eastern horizon.

Thanks for the reminder!
We once drove out into the country to best see the Leonids. It was 2am and really dark. We could sort of see the meteors but they were really fuzzy. Turned out there was a cloud cover that we couldn't see cause it was so dark.

Last night I got all bundled up and went outside about 10:30 to watch the stars, telling Grandfatherbear "If I'm not back in a little bit come and get me". I stretched out on a quilt and counted 8 shooting stars. The next thing I knew, it was after midnight, and GFB was shaking me awake and saying "Don't you think you ought to come inside now?"
