Cans of spray paint etc. ?

I know someone on here has figured this out. Give me some helpful tips here.I have spray paint cans that have never been used. I shake for ever, you can hear the marble bouncing around but you can't get anything out of them! These are brand new never used! I had a can that worked and used it all so I took a sized roll pin punch and stuck it in the top after taking the nozzle off. It sprayed like it should. Then I took one that would not spray and did the same thing. I even used a hammer on the punch and could not get it to spray. What's the trick? Brand new, never used and won't work! And this is good brand name paint., red devil , rustoleum etc.

Along the same lines,I have foam spray fill for cracks etc. They won't work either. Some have been used some and others are brand new and won't work! I'm tired of having this junk around and not being able to use it! All together I've probably got a couple hundred bucks tied up in this stuff!

Any help?

Thanks,

Wade

Once the foam cans are opened I have found if stored they lose their propellant or get plugged up and the foam dries inside. I have had paint spray cans that lose their propellant as well. I don't know why, either it slowly leaks out or the chemicals in the paint deactivate it,but it is the lack of propellant that is the problem. Moral of the story is don't buy paint or foam till it is needed and use it up if possible.

dale- never frozen. Always stored in doors in a temp/humidity controlled enviroment.

Blackfeather- The foam has never been opened but still will not work. Maybe lost the pressure. As for the spray paint, The used up can you could push the check valve down and get it to release. With the new cans that had never been used you can not push it down, not even using a hammer on the punch it would not give.Like it was welded or something.Beats me!

The paint separates and thickens way too much too ooze out of tiny straw opening inside the can. Offer the old cans up as tribute to the hoodlums that tag your goats and other livestock just to annoy them and buy fresh cans when you need them. Short of that, hitting them with .22 is fun.
