Here in our local town, where they practice price fixing religiously, it's still stuck at $2.89..

Every store in town is the same price, and every store drops or raises the prices at the same time... It's pretty obvious they collude on the prices here.

I'm tired of being gouged..

$2.89 or 2.83, depending on where I'm driving. My town, the higher rate, they're the only gas station in town.

While I'm not skipping or shouting 'whooo hooo', I am happy it's not $4. and over anymore, (that's when I quit filling the tank, and only put 2 to 4 gal in each time I needed to go somehwere...then someone finally told me that it was bad for my fuel pump? to only put a little bit in..)
Now, when I put $35 in, it well over half, almost 3/4 tank....

Prices vary around here. I saw it for $2.53 today. But every 2 weeks, I go to the allergist and chiropractor, and gas is normally cheaper up there. I just checked a price map, and it's $2.35/gallon in that area.

For our american friends, that is still close to 3.50 a gallon. Our taxes are insane.

Just paid 2.99 in town (more out here in the boonies), we get pricey California gas here in Southern Oregon, or at least that's the excuse why our gas prices are always higher.
