potatoes
I didn't get my potatoes dug before the last cold spell some got frosted and froze. Is there anything I can use them for? Can I cook them for the chickens?

The plants got frosted and froze or the tubers underground? How deep did your soil freeze?

If the potatoes in the ground did not freeze, they are fine.

If they froze in the ground they have, or soon will have turned to mush. If they didn't freeze in the ground(and it takes a pretty deep and prolonged freeze topside)...cook them with the chicken.

I like planting Kennebec's maybe put some straw over them for insulation but for the most part just dig them as needed until it comes long hard freeze.

They keep well.
