Well, it looks like the last of the tomatoes

Cold front will be here in a couple of days, and they say we'll be getting some heavy frost.

The tomatoes in the garden are set pretty heavily, with several good sized green tomatoes. Guess we'll do what Grandma used to do...Go pull the bigger green tomatoes, wrap them in newsprint and put them in the house to ripen...cover the plants and hope they make it a little while longer.

I'm eating the last of my maters now. Had a freeze on the 1st. Did get a few green ones to ripen in the house.

Yeah, just pulled the last of mine this past weekend, they're on the counter in the house ripening now. Supposed to get our first freeze tomorrow night.

No frost here yet and the tomatoes under the plastic are doing better than the potted plants I put in the greenhouse. The 2 I pulled and turned upside down in the storage shed are still ripening good. Never had a better fall garden. Supposed to get cold this week though, maybe icy tomorrow....James
