How much to sell old barn wood for?

I have 20 7'6" one by tens well weathered and red. They are from a barn on my property that burned down at least from 1952, but they may have been reused from an farm from the 1920s that used to be on this property. I live in St Louis, have craigslist, and there are a billion antique stores around. It has been sitting inside a shed for about a year and I have removed all the nails.

I have no idea what to charge, I also don't know how to figure out board feet. Anybody have a suggestion. I have seen some for sale for quite a bit online, bit it has been a while. Didn't know if the amount I have may affect the price I can charge.

Thanks so much,

according to my calculations you have 125 board feet of lumber. There are 144 sq inches in one board foot. a ten inch wide plank one foot long would have 120 sq inches times seven and a half ft = 900 sq in divided by 144 = 6.25 board ft per plank times 20 = 125. As to what price per foot.... go for all you can get. You only get to sell it once.

An easier way is width in inches (10) x length (7.5') divided by 12=6.25 bd ft per board.

I should have added that is for 1x. Anything over 1x would be 2"or whatever the thickness is x10"x length in ft. divided by 12.

Thank you, I googled it, I saw a lot of $3-$4. I just need to sell it for a price to cover the costs of some drywall 2x4s and insulation I need to build a 20 foot wall in my garage. I think I might get that total and see how it fits in the board feet.

have a nice day
