Does anybody use a Planet Jr 300-A garden planter?

Can you read the brass planting instructions on the back? I cant at 67yrs old.
Also, Where does the rod/bolt go to that holds the planter box down against the part it sits on?
Where the rod for the measurer is, is a hook on either side of the rod, made into the casting. What are they for?

Can you download PDF files Bill? It's not very big, just 3.69 MB. This assembly manual came up when I put in that info. I can't begin to tell you how to do it, but maybe you can read this one, and you can enlarge it if you need to.

I called a Cole Planter dealer, and he gave me that one. Its from a different Planet Jr copy, IF it is a copy of any Planet Jr planter. Thanks. This one has 6 plates where mine has four, and it dosent give a plate to vegetable chart.

Well, therer is a significent difference.

Mine takes 4 planter plates, of which I only have #1. This and the other plates have sized holes that are numbered, and those holes and number correspond with a certain vegetable seed on a chart I have on the lid of my planter box but cannot read as it is so small. The one the Cole dealer sent me, takes 6 plates. Being more plates, I might assume that the holes are differently sized, and numbered, IF they fit MY planter at all. I intend to buy the other 3 plates on E bay this week.
Since I don't know where there is another Planet Jr A-300, or another Planet Jr of any model to look at and see the answer to my questions, Im still lost to the answer to them.

Rural King is like a Tractor Supply or Quality Supply, is farm and ranch stuff. They had a little seed planter for a good price with good reviews and all the changeable plates for different sized seeds. Earthway Precision Walk Behind Garden Seeder 1001B 066570011

Had one of those. Didn't like it. I bought one from TSC this spring. Has bigger dia wheels, and maybe a inch wider too. Not to sure I like it either. I don't as far as the fert attachment goes.

I got my Earthway with a full set of plates and a manual off eBay for $29 and $19.50 shipping.
The Earthway seeders are known for dropping more seeds than you want them to but I belong to a SPIN farming group and a lot of us use the Earthway with a slight modification one of our members came up with. It was just a washer placed to push the plates closer together.
