Where is Cabin Fever
It has been a couple of years since I have been on site. Missing Cabin Fever and WIHH.

WIHH posts on the fiber forum, plus today is her birthday and there's a thread for that. CF hasn't been on for a year.

That's a shame about CF. I always enjoyed his posts.
Makes you wonder what happened. I've come close a couple of times to hitting the delete key and forgetting the site address. People do not always work and play well with others and sometimes life is too stressful to add anymore from a forum.

Such a pity--I sometimes feel the foundations of this site is getting shaky, we've lost so many

Im reading my way through the posts from the past. Lots of names Come stay a while and disappear. Also lots of people with thousands of posts that are banned.
It leaves me wondering.

Next time you see him, tell him we all asked about him and tell him to take care, would you please?

The rules are, what the rules are.
But...I've been on several boards over the years and except in extreme cases that put the board in legal jeopardy, I've never personally seen the need to ban a long-standing, participating member. If one really needed to be banned, my opinion is that it should be because 2/3's of the active members voted for the banning.
OTOH, people do come and go on their own. Life circumstances change, interests wane. Just the nature of the net, I guess...

That's a interesting idea but in my years on forums I don't think Ive ever seen it done that way.
The problem with that is like the problem with all democracy , just because the majority hate something doesn't make them right.
And of course their is the preaching to the choir effect pretty soon everyone would be parroting each other.
Its a Diversity of opinions that makes this country and a forum strong.
from the simple Like is a wooden fence post better than a steel or the always popular what to do about trespassers.
Of course the way most forums ban memebers is even worse just a few people make pretty much those same choices.
You cant blame them ,they are usually the members that do most of the work.

I do find it strange that members with 12 posts will call members with 10,000 posts trolls or flamers or other such names.
But life is weird and the net is weirder!

Frequently when people get frustrated and ready to leave they " flame out " and get themselves banned.

I'll bet he's on the trail, looking up and forward and breaking in another pair of boots. G'day mate.

Huh? Is there anything that would even suggest that CF got banned? He and WIHH were among the most contributing, polite members this forum has ever had. If I were a bettin' woman, I'd wager that CF and WIHH became weary of the fact that so much bandwidth goes to superficial, petty, non-homestead related stuff. Just a guess.

I am glad to hear CF is in good health. When I noticed he wasn't around I was concerned, but I notice admin here does not favor these sorts of threads or questions on members and won't reply about personal matters.
Seemed there was a bit of an odd exchange there in some of his last messages when I think back, and whatever however, that is fine none of my concern. There is so much behind the curtain in keeping one of these low overhead web sites running, stuff just happens if that is the case here.
Just glad to hear he's doing well, always a big fan of his humor and demeanor, consider him a friend if at a distance.

I'm sorry , I wasnt implying that he was banned, I was addressing other comments re how other forums ban people. I have nothing but respect for his contributions and wish he chose to post still.
