Looking for Lawn Grass Seed brand

I am getting ready to seed my lawn in the next few weeks and I am trying to find a good brand of grass seed. I don't want companies owned by Monsanto and I would like to have non-GMO grass seeds. The lawn is mostly sunny with some shade spots in south eastern PA. Also, its just under a third of an acre. Any suggestions on brands? Thanks!

There are no GMO grass seeds, unless you want to call corn a grass.
Do not buy annual rye grass or any blend with over 30% annual rye grass. Buy from a place that you think will be in business for a few years. Easier when you want to re-seed areas in a few years. Save the list of grass varieties and the percentages. You'll want re-seeding to match what you have.

Thanks for the info. There is a local seed and feed place that I'll stop by this weekend and a local nursery. If they don't have it, I think I'll just get Pennington Grass Seed...not my first choice but its what is available readily.

This isn't the cheapest seed to buy, but it's the best growing seed I've ever found.. I recently had to re-grade my yard, so I planted this.. Within 3-4 days I had sprouts.. .Now it's a month later and a got a yard full of grass.

No one could believe how fast and thick I had grass come in.. I used right at the rate it called for the area I had... I also have very rock laden clay type soil.. Pretty much no top soil and this stuff did fantastic..
